Dr. Andrew DeStefano
Co-Managing Partner/ Physical Therapist
DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, Dip. of Osteopractic, Cert. SMT/DN/VRS/MST
Originally from our Boston location, Andrew has worked with Blue Hills PT since 2016. In 2020, he transferred to Braintree to manage the facility before stepping into a co-ownership role with Garrett Goslin. Andrew attended Ithaca College, where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (2012) and bachelor’s degree in Clinical Health Science (2010).
As a lifelong athlete, his passion for sports has provided an ideal foundation for a career in physical therapy. With an interest in promoting overall health and wellness, he minored in nutrition during his undergraduate study. To further integrate these skills into his practice, he earned his Certificate of Personal Training (CPT) through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and became a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. This training bolsters his approach to patient education and evidence-based practice.
Andrew is a strong believer in the importance of continuing education. He has continued to expand upon his background in sports-based orthopedics by becoming a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), as recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. This credential is one of the 10 specialty certifications that are recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
As of June 2022, the ABPTS has certified less than 20,000 physical therapists nationally. He is also recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy after completion of fellowship training through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT) in 2023. This intensive post-graduate program includes extensive classroom and mentored clinical experience focusing on the management of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, using specific and high-skilled manual techniques coupled with therapeutic exercise. Through this program, Andrew also earned a Diploma of Osteopractic. He also holds Certification in Dry Needling (Cert. DN) and Certification in Spinal Manipulation (Cert. SMT) through AAMT, and is a certified Vestibular Rehab Specialist (Cert. VRS) through the American Musculoskeletal Institute. With this extensive knowledge, Andrew’s goal is to optimize his quality of care and that of his patients’ lives. As an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Andrew has served as a mentor to young clinicians in the APTA of Massachusetts Mentorship Program and is a Certified Clinical Instructor (CI) for student physical therapists on clinical internships.
Andrew believes that developing relationships with patients rooted in trust and effective communication is integral to effective treatment outcomes, and counts compassion and empathy as among the most important traits a physical therapist can possess. With these values and his extensive clinical knowledge, Andrew had the honor to be voted by his community as the “Best Physical Therapist” in the 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards, organized by the Patriot Ledger.
In his free time, Andrew stays active through strengthening and conditioning, puts his nutrition background to use while baking and cooking, engages his mind by reading a wide range of nonfiction books, and is the grateful human companion of a photogenic cat named Penny.

Dr. Garrett Goslin
Co-Managing Partner/ Physical Therapist
DPT, Cert. VRS, Cert. DN
Garrett graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy after receiving his B.S in Exercise Science from High Point University. After gaining extensive experience at several outpatient physical therapy clinics on the South Shore, Garrett became a co-owner of Blue Hills Physical Therapy in 2024, partnering with Andrew DeStefano to lead the clinic into its next chapter.
Garrett grew up in Easton Massachusetts and was a multisport athlete. His introduction to physical therapy came after he fractured his lower back playing football. Through his recovery, Garrett experienced firsthand the power of physical therapy and became captivated by the body’s remarkable ability to heal naturally. Thanks to his commitment to therapy, he recovered fully without the need for surgery or injections, and has remained pain-free ever since. This experience ignited his passion for helping others achieve lasting healing and wellness.
Garrett has a background in outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, post surgical rehab, and acute care experience. He is certified in Dry Needling (cert. DN) and Vestibular Rehabilitation (cert. VRS).
He has an extensive history of working with athletes across youth, high school, and collegiate levels. Garrett has given talks at local AAU baseball organizations and high schools educating students on proper mechanics and warm ups to prevent injury. Garrett follows an osteopathic approach, focusing on treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms using evidenced based practice. Outside of the clinic he enjoys going to the beach, running, biking, and recreational weight lifting.
